Don’t ever stop! Your wordsmithing is superb.
Marcy@ November 18th, 2008 at 10:10 am
Amanda, this is just the coolest. I knew from the minute I read that hysterical email you wrote years ago about the Highway Patrol who stopped you and probably had to see his therapist after you had dumped on him about your hair disaster and why you were possibly speeding…I knew then that you were destined to appear in print. And obviously, Dallas agrees with me. You go Girl! I am so thrilled for you and this wonderful acknowledgment of your demented humor. Keep those stories a comin’.
Amanda’s writing is alwasy on-point and hysterical.
This award should not be a surprise to anyone!

Hey y’all!!! I’ve been running around all day, and had no idea this was going on! Let me say this, to my family, I love y’all so much…to my friends, thank you so much for encouraging me and inspiring me (and sometimes kicking me in the rear), and to all of you who found me in the pages of D and D Home…I am humbled and honored by your kindness. So many of you have written me in the past year, and we are kindred spirits. I am truly blessed.
It’s proof that all a girl needs is the love of a good man, a fantastic exterminator, and a few undocumented workers to live her dream (maybe a pc, too!).
Love to you all…xo

Amanda:
Finally you have been recognized for your greatness, creativity and the ability to turn the antics of Trophy and Spawn into hysterical reading. Hopefully, fame will not go to your head and you will remain the same simple, lovable and humble person that you are. You are indeed a bright spot in our day.
