Will Preston Center become a Ghost Town?

Question, Candy - with all the bank closings and buy-outs, what will happen with all the branch banks that have opened in the last couple of years?  A bank on every corner, and about 30 in Preston Center.  Do you think its too much to ask for a few local shops to open back up?

Other than a background shot for the Brady Bunch, how about suggestions for uae on all those soon to be empty Wachovia Bank Buildings.
I remember the last such contest someone had as best adaptive re-use category for old IHOP A-Frame buildings. (I can think of Chips and that one on Lemmon that sells Bagels as good use of those old food spots as the winners back then.)
And lucky us, Chase now has a store at Mockingbird and Preston. They re not referred to as banks anymore. Just try to be a non customer trying to cash a check there. They make you sit through a sales pitch before going to the teller to cash check.

My better half runs one of those banks and their business has been better than ever!

I know. Some of the banks are fine - my banker is asking to lend me money!
