If you are not a millenial, you might recognize the above from Sixteen Candles, one of my all-time favorite movies. (Can you believe Molly Ringwald is playing a grandmother in The Secret Life of the American Teenager?) But I digress. Guess what’s opening tomorrow at 10 a.m. at 4425 McKinney Ave.? My Sofa Store. It’s not my personal sofa store, mind you–that’s the name of it. Owner Jeff Nunn’s store allows customers a number of choices ranging from style, arm type, upholstry, finish, fabrics, and more. Once you choose, the good people at My Sofa Store get high-tech–they mock it up for you on the computer. The store even has eco-friendly options. So go check it out, and report back.
