It’s Not A Cotton Gin
It’s a contraption built by Dallas-based company Cloud Nine that allows you to create the down-filled bed pillow of your dreams. I don’t know why they call it the Pillow Bar, as it looks more like a cotton gin or maybe one of those machines that shoots insulation into the attic, but they have their reasons. The prototype is on display this week at Mary Kate Erwin showroom (as Laura points out below, but I just couldn’t resist showing the photo). They hope to generate enough interest in bedding shops around town that others will decide to install the down-shooting contraption, too. I think it’s a great idea, but I’d feel like a dork doing it.

Well i guess that i am a well rested “dork”. I participated in the test marketing group and had never slept on a down pillow. With the pillow bar i got the firmness that i wanted and added my favorite scent. I have never slept better in my life. It is a real luxury for us “nerds” to get such a perfect pillow!! i’ll never sleep without my perfect pillow again.
