True Blues at Cerulean Gallery

O'Krent's Solstice.jpg

central-valley-12-x-6.jpgThe Cerulean Gallery always finds great under-the-radar artists. The best part is that many of their works are colorful and complementary to home interiors (no offense to Damien Hirst). The latest exhibition, “Surface Tension,” is no different; and it opens tonight. Pamela Marquette O’Krent (”Solstice” shown at far left–aren’t those blues and greens appealing?) uses collage and incorporates innovative techniques such as sewing in her images. Virginia Marum (”Central Valley”) uses mixed media in her landscapes and has worked as an interior designer and color consultant for more than five years. Marum also teaches drawing lessons at the gallery. Meet these artists and others (Alonso Bedolla and John Gary Brown) tonight at the artists’ reception from 6 – 9 p.m.
