Crime — It’s Out of Control!

An armed robbery at the Tom Thumb/Flagship store across from Northpark Mall at about 10:30 p.m. Monday night is enough to make me throw in the towel on night time shopping. Two men, each carrying a gun, held a 50 plus year old male customer hostage while the store gave them all it’s cash — Tom Thumb manager George Luna would not say how much that was. The perpretators were white men in ski masks who may have driven away in a white 2002 Cadillac, but that was not confirmed. Thank God, no one was shot or harmed. This is getting out of hand. It’s like all the crooks know we are shopping and stressed this time of year so they are out to get us. Wouldn’t it be awful if crime canceled Christmas?
