Top Chefs Reunite

Or at least a select few do—for a one-shot holiday competition for $20,000. According to Bravo, the episode premieres tonight, but that’s not exactly the case. Last night, around 11 p.m., I was settling in for an educational program entitled Return to Fat Camp on MTV. I happened to flip around before the action started—and I’m so grateful that I did because I stumbled upon the special Top Chef. I won’t spoil the ending, but I will happily provide highlights. In addition to Marcel, Betty, and Josie, Tre Wilcox returns! Also, Padma does not use the “f” word at all, which is surprising to anyone who has read the latest Vanity Fair. But my most favorite part: When Eric Ripert kept talking about how delicious the “shrimps” were in his wonderful accent. The French are funny.
