Have Yourself a Historic Holiday

family.jpgGather ’round, fine gents and ladies, as we visit holidays past. This sounds so kitschy that it might actually be fun. Dallas Heritage Farms and its docents dressed in period costumes (see the Kostelny Christmas card at left) host groups visiting turn-of-the-century homes. (I think I went here in elementary school to sing Christmas carols.) Tour the 38 structures dating from 1840-1910 and wonder how the early Dallasites celebrated Christmas and Hanukkah without central heating. Dallas Heritage Farm. 1515 S. Harwood. Saturday and Sunday, Dec. 8-9; 3–9 p.m.
