The D Home gang has been on deadline, and we’re tired and cranky and in dire need of a glass or twelve of champagne. That’s why I’m posting this picture of the recent Moet & Chandon party at the Miele Showroom. Although I couldn’t go, my sources tell me it was a fun shindig, and the bubbly was amazing, due in part to “the weather [in 2000] seemed to do whatever it pleased which meant we had to stay on our toes. The result was an abundant, complex, astonishing harvest,” according to Benoit Gouez, chef de cave for Moet & Chandon. To which I say: nice. Also, I admire the guy in the sunglasses.
